The Future of Sustainability
Berglund Team Selected for Design-Build of Northern Illinois University Center for Community Sustainability
The State of Illinois Capital Development Board has selected Berglund Construction and Farr Associates to design and construct the new Northern Illinois University Center for Community Sustainability.
Need to summarize the design intent from the Technical Data doc… The Center’s architectural design is animated by the interplay between the building’s two distinct masses: the atrium and the wings. The massing of the high bay and loading vestibule together create an iconic three-bay basilica, the visual identity of the Center.
Berglund Construction and Farr Associates bring unmatched experience in delivering transformative projects within the higher education sector. Over the past decade, our team has successfully partnered with universities across Illinois and the Midwest to deliver technically complex state of the art academic, research, and student life facilities.
