LUCHA Offices

Mission-Centric Renovation

LUCHA is an community-centered organization empowering individuals and families by providing resources, education, and most importantly, affordable and equitable housing opportunities.

Farr Associates led the team of designers to renovate an existing building that combined two separate LUCHA offices into one. Additionally, we assisted LUCHA in seeking several funding and grant resources.

Many of the central tenets of LUCHA’s mission and vision were directly translated into design concepts for the space. Both the interior and exterior of the project addressed issues of resiliency, equity, and transparency head-on. For example, the building will include community-centric spaces, active living, workspace and socialization diversity, daylight, and biophilia (nature-based design elements).
