Design Education Towards a Sustainable Future

The Global Citizenship Experience Lab School (GCE) is an outside-thinking, real-world immersive, non-profit independent high school. Led by Farr Associates, the collaborative design team was driven by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

GCE’s new home features a retrofit interior buildout with non-traditional flexible classrooms, diverse learning spaces, and their mission-embodying central gathering space to be used for engaging all citizens: a place for discourse and display of student-driven research and reflection.
