Project Manager (6-12 years)
Farr Associates is growing and seeking an energetic project manager! Projects in our architecture studio include high-performance buildings of all types including commercial, residential, institutional, and affordable housing in both new-build, renovation, and preservation contexts.
About the Role:
The Project Manager leads, manages, and oversees projects through all phases on a day-to-day basis. The individual creates project schedules, allocates resources, and drafts financial and staffing plans for the project.
Project Managers internally monitors project progress, including meeting all milestones and deliverables, whether contractual or as part of the firm’s QA/QC process. Externally, the PM communicates with clients and stakeholders to keep them updated on the project’s progress, coordinates client meetings, and manages client expectations.
Project Managers will have a solid understanding of the production means and methods of their deliverables and be able to produce work related to their project. A PM may oversee between 2-6 projects, depending on size, construction value, and expected production duties.
About You:
Degree in architecture or a related field
6+ years of architectural and project management experience
Architecture License or other advanced certification and advanced training in your field
Share our vision for sustainable, socially equitable, and economically-viable design
Communicate effectively in all mediums, internally and externally
Ability to travel locally to project sites
Comfortable working in open office with direct access to leadership
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of architectural design principles, methods, and standards
Posses interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Manage multiple projects at various stages of development
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and best practices
Work independently or as part of a team
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors
Adaptability to solve problems creatively and analytically
Proficient in Revit, Enscape, & Adobe Suite
