VILLAGE OF SWANSEA TOWN CENTER

Swansea, Illinois, a bedroom suburb of St. Louis, lobbied successfully for a Metralink light rail stop.  The Village of Swansea engaged Farr Associates to lead a multi-disciplinary charette to design a transit village. The resulting town center plan, anchored by a hotel and pedestrian-friendly offices over retail, was received with enthusiasm; development teams are competing to build the entire plan.
