An Expert Review on the Strength of the Public Health Data in Support of Proposed
Community Design Standards in LEED for Neighborhood Development
Farr Associates, with the help of the Centers for Disease control, prepared a report
on the relationship between the USGBC LEED for Neighborhood Development criteria and
public health. The findings helped to further revise the LEED-ND standards and focus
on opportunities to strengthen the links between known public health interventions and
the LEED-ND criteria.
